Youth, Solidarity, and Shared Dreams
On the occasion of International Youth Day, the Popular Aid Organization (PAO) organized a festival in Shaqlawa from 12–14 August 2026, with the participation of young people from 15 Iraqi governorates. Held under the theme “Youth, Solidarity, and Shared Dreams,” the festival provided young people with a space for learning, self-expression, communication, and the exchange of ideas and experiences.
As part of the festival activities, the participating networks presented introductions to their activities, roles, and areas of work, providing participants with an opportunity to learn about various initiatives and exchange experiences. Among them was the HUMAN Network for Health and Humanitarian Work, which collaborates with the Popular Aid Organization within its work strategies. The network also presented a range of its activities and initiatives in the fields of health, humanitarian work, and community participation.
The festival also provided an important opportunity for communication and networking among young people, networks, partner organizations, and institutions supporting youth and development.
Through these connections and exchanges, the festival contributed to creating new opportunities for cooperation and strengthened the foundations for continued joint work beyond the conclusion of the festival activities.
