Special Roundtable on the Health Situation in Halabja Province

Under the patronage of the Governor of Halabja, Mrs. Nuxsha Nasih,
a special roundtable discussion on the health situation in Halabja province was convened today, organized by the Human Network for Health and Humanitarian Work.
The event was attended by the Director General of Health in Halabja, representatives of local civil society networks, health professionals, the Association of Persons with Disabilities, women’s representatives, and senior citizens, along with a number of other stakeholders from the health sector.
The main objective of the roundtable was to provide a comprehensive overview of the current state of the health sector in the province, identify the major challenges, and explore suitable mechanisms to address them and improve the quality of health services delivered to citizens.
At the opening of the session, Governor Nuxsha Nasih welcomed all participants, expressing appreciation to the Human Network for Health and Humanitarian Work as well as to all organizations and experts who continue to dedicate their efforts to advancing healthcare in Halabja. The Governor emphasized the importance of such initiatives as platforms to amplify the voices of experts and civil society organizations, ensure their recommendations are conveyed to decision-makers, and strengthen coordination between all actors in order to better serve the community.
Following the opening remarks, participants engaged in an open and constructive dialogue on a number of critical topics related to the health sector. They discussed key obstacles facing healthcare delivery in Halabja and presented several practical recommendations and proposals aimed at enhancing the overall health system in the province.
The roundtable concluded with a shared commitment among all stakeholders to maintain close cooperation and to translate the identified recommendations into actionable steps for sustainable improvements in health services for the people of Halabja.
